The Power of Prepping (Even Just a Little)

The Power of Prepping (Even Just a Little)

Because a calm fridge = a calmer week.

Meal prep doesn’t need to be colour-coded, stackable, or Instagram-worthy to be effective.
It just needs to help you.

And the truth is: even 10 minutes of prep can change your whole week.

🍽 What Does “Meal Prep” Actually Mean?

It’s not about cooking 21 meals ahead. It’s about reducing future stress.
It could mean:

  • Chopping tomorrow’s dinner veg today
  • Prepping lunches so mornings run smoother
  • Baking muffins while dinner’s in the oven
  • Cooking extra rice and freezing half
  • Boiling eggs for grab-and-go snacks

Even small things add up when they’re waiting for you in the fridge.

💡 Why Even a Little Prep Makes a Big Difference

✅ 1. You Make Fewer Decisions

Fewer “what’s for dinner?” panics at 5pm.

✅ 2. You Waste Less

No more sad veg forgotten at the back of the crisper.

✅ 3. You Eat Better Without Trying

If it’s prepped, you’re far more likely to eat it—especially during busy moments.

✅ 4. You Feel More in Control

And that feeling? It ripples into everything else.

🧺 What I Prepped This Week (In Under 1 Hour)

This changes based on what’s in season or in the freezer, but here’s a real example:

  • Washed & chopped carrots, zucchini, and pumpkin
  • Boiled 6 eggs for snacks and lunches
  • Cooked a batch of brown rice
  • Made overnight oats for 3 days
  • Roasted chickpeas for school snacks
  • Made a lentil curry to freeze in two portions

It’s not a full menu—but it helps. Immensely.

🧘‍♀️ Your Prep Doesn’t Need to Be Perfect

You don’t need a plan for every meal. You don’t need fancy containers or five hours.
Just ask: What can I prep now that Future Me will thank me for?

Then do that.
