Healthier Chocolate Bites to Balance Out Easter

Healthier Chocolate Bites to Balance Out Easter

Easter brings with it a lot of joy—and a lot of chocolate. And while I’ll never say no to a proper Easter egg (or a hot cross bun), I do like having a few nourishing alternatives on hand. Things I can enjoy with a cup of tea that don’t leave me with a sugar crash an hour later.

These healthier chocolate bites are full of flavour, with natural sweetness from fruit, rich dark chocolate, and the goodness of nuts and seeds. Perfect for lunchboxes, after-dinner treats, or to pop on the table over the long weekend.

4. Frozen Banana & Chocolate Bites

A fun, kid-friendly snack that also hits the spot for grown-ups.

A Few Helpful Tips:

  • Choose 70%+ dark chocolate for better antioxidants and less sugar.
  • Sweeten naturally with dates, banana, or a dash of honey.
  • Add seeds like chia, flax, or hemp for extra fibre and omega-3s.
  • Use what you have—swap nuts, dried fruits, or sweeteners to suit your pantry.
